LatinTLD is advising registrars of a sunrise period for internationalised domain names for the .ar (Argentina) ccTLD.
The advice reads:
Dear Registrars:
Sunrise for Argentina’s IDN will be carried during a 100 day period from September 8th to December 16th 2008.

For all of you following the issue we raised originally to ICANN leadership: As a quick recap, we are concerned that IDNs and their process of implementation should be directed in a way to allow for multi-lingual navigation of the Internet and not used as a tool to control access, impose censorship or limit freedom of expression online.
